FAQ:
How do I know for SURE what my table size is ?
A: Click here
for information on how to determine your
exact table size.
1Q : How long will my order
take to get to me ?
A: It is determined by what state you are located in:
Going regular Ground UPS ...anywhere from 1 to 6
days.
Depending on your
shipping zone which is broken up into
5 separate zones.
2Q :Your prices are great and
are so much better than anyone else....why?
A: We have been in the billiards industry for over 47 years, we buy
in such large
quantity (by the truck load) of many many
products. We also are manufacturers
of many Billiard products and distribute
them around the world. For example ..
we are the inventors and manufacturers of
the World renowned TIP-PIK® !
4Q : What ball sets
are considered the best quality?
A: Brunswick Centennials.
Period. The pros use them in tournaments
and serious players always
buy them. They continue to be the best
set of balls for the
money ... no matter what the cost.
5Q : Are Predator
shafts the best shafts to use for my game ?
A: Yes. However this does not mean
that the shaft will make you a better player .. but
you will experience a noticeable
difference in your shots being more accurate.
You will have a better feel of
each shot .. that will in turn help you develop the muscle
memory needed in becoming
that better player. Predator
Shafts are
very well designed to
absorb and evenly distribute the energy of each
TIP to BALL impact,
throughout the shaft. Many people buy Predator Shafts
to fit their Joss, Schon,
Lucasi and especially Meucci cues.
6Q : So why
are so many players putting Predator shafts on Meucci Cues ?
(an very in depth answer)
A: This is because of the extreme FLEX in their shaft
design. Meucci probably makes
THE MOST BEAUTIFUL cues out in the
market ... but they do have their weakness ...
too much Shaft Flex. This
condition is not relevant if you are a good pool player, AND
are aware of this condition AND can
compensate for it during your game play. Many
average and beginner players who use
a Meucci will experience more inconsistency
in their shot making and become
easily frustrated. I've seen many players use a Meucci
cue that are shooting poorly then
during a match or game change to someone else's cue
and suddenly shoot what seems 100%
better.
There is a reason for this.
When a cue tip impacts the cue ball
of each and every shot, there is that moment of FLEX
(proven by high speed photography )
where the shaft bends. All shafts do it.... it's the
law of physics when energy transfer
occurs from one object to another during an impact of
any kind.... ball to ball ... cue
tip to cue ball.
On the scale of flex ... Predator
Shafts have less Shaft Flex and equal shock distribution
... Meucci has more. We tested this shaft Flex with both cues with the
Flex SCALE .
So what's going on during the shot with a
Meucci? When the tip strikes the Cue ball ... the
higher rate of Flex causes inadvertent SPIN on the
Cue Ball .. unless you strike DEAD CENTER.
English applied to the Cue Ball is
amplified three times the normal spin .... this is most
noticeable with long shots on the
table. Average and beginner players have trouble executing
dead center hits on the Cue Ball anyway .... so
ANY slightest off center hit will create inadvertent
spin (English) whether the player wants to or
not. So by time the spinning cue ball reaches travels
THAT LONG DISTANCE across the table to the object
ball .. the intended target is missed ...
thus the shot is missed.
We've seen of
all the shafts out in the market Predator shafts are probably the best out there
and is WHY more and more people buy Predator Shafts to
fit a Meucci ..... keeping their
gorgeous Meucci cue intact and playing better.
7Q
:What are the best instructional books or
tapes ?
A: Of all the Billiard Instructional tapes & videos ... we recommend
Books: Science of Pocket Billiards
BCA Rule Book
A Mind for Pool
Videos : The Monk Series 202 with DR. Cue
--
Robert Byrnes Videos Volumes 1 , 2,
& 5
( 3 & 4 are only dedicated to trick shots)
8Q
What is the best way to groom my
shaft ?
A: Here is great way.
1. Use a bottle of Q-Clean ... this cleans the pores of the
shaft.
Apply some to a rag (about the size of 1/2 dollar) and rub onto shaft
vigorously while rotating the shaft.. clean from ferrule to 3/4 down the shaft.
2. Use 800 grit sandpaper and gently rub the area that you cleaned.
(this smoothes the pores back down)
3. Then use a leather burnisher to create friction to seal the pores
of the shaft.
4. Try using a dab of Cue Silk to apply to shaft stroke area
only while rotating
the shaft. Allow to dry.
9Q
What is the best way to groom my
shaft ?
A: Of all the tip tools we recommend two.
The Ulti-Mate Tip tool and TIP-PIK®.
10Q
Is Simonis cloth (Worsted Wool) a
better grade of cloth for my table?
A: Yes. Worsted wool is what the pros play on.
It's what you see the pros predominantly
playing on during televised
tournaments. Serious players buy it for their table.
Simonis brand is king.
11Q
I'm thinking of buying a cue ... what direction
of quality and price should I go ?
A: Always stay within your budget. The most expensive
cue will not make you a better.
You just want a good accurate cue with a
quality tip. Looks are secondary and
expensive cues are based on intricate inlay
work. McDermott &
JOSS are great cues to start off with.
Serious players always have a Shooting Cue
( their baby) and a break cue and a decent cue
case.
